Finding a spot for your phone in your car can be a challenge. You want it nearby, but you don't want to have to keep grabbing for it. (And you know you shouldn't be using it while driving in the first place.) Of course, if you're using gps, it's even more important to be able to keep it in view, and close enough to hear easily. One word of caution, check the location of your cigarette lighter power inputs before looking at this type of mount. Placement is important. My last car was a Toyota Camry, where...

Convertcast Episode 48 July 19, 2010 And yes, we can mention "antennagate" since we're going to discuss cases. I did speak to an RF engineer, who suggested the only way to fix the current problem would be to put the antenna back on the inside. Form vs. function. Case offer from Apple - Bumper? Rebate (bumper owners), or 3rd party Apple offering? How many cases do you already have in your possession? How many do you have on order? Screen cover/shield? Parent update! Both are getting Evos...which required a dissertation on the difference between 3G/EVDO and WiFi. Things we take for granted. App...

Convertcast - Episode 47 The Love of Tech - Episode 3 July 10, 2010 Apple Mystique - What is it? Why is it important to marketing of Apple products? Has it been tarnished with initial iPhone 4 problems? Has it! Consumer Reports: We reached this conclusion after testing all three of our iPhone 4s (purchased at three separate retailers in the New York area) in the controlled environment of CU’s radio frequency (RF) isolation chamber. The Definitive Guide to Netbooks vs REDFLY™

Posted by: Guest Contributor    Tags:  laptop, mobile, mobile technology, netbook, Redfly, Windows    Posted date:  March 10, 2009  |  No comment

This guide was written by our good friend John D'Agnese. You can find the original on his website, Veracitynation and follow him on Twitter. Please let him know what you think, and maybe we can get him to contribute again! With the addition of two relatively new mobile computing product solutions, there have been many who question whether or not it is better to get one over the other.  The two products are, as you might have guessed from the article title, netbooks and the Celio REDFLY™.   If one were to base their decision solely on feature oriented product pricing, one would...

Proporta Universal Emergency Charger

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, charger, device, gadgets, mobile, power, Proporta    Posted date:  February 15, 2009  |  No comment

Proporta has long been one of my favorite gadget and accessory providers. They have great stuff, no matter what your personal preference in mobile tech. They have cases for everything from iPhones to Blackberries, Palms to Nokias. They have laptop bags, gadget bags, and every other conceivable accessory. And being a terribly British company, you get a cup of tea with every order.     Proporta advertises its Universal Emergency Charger as having “an impressive 2500 mAh” of power. I’m not convinced that 2500 mAh is really all that impressive, but it is more power than you get to start...
