Yes, Windows 8 works on iPad, including multi touch gestures. After getting the app (see link at the end of this review) and after installing streamer software on Windows 8, your iPad discovers Windows 8 and you can start. Kinectimals for iOS is rather an sidekick-app to a videogame for Kinect, so first real game-game videogame from Microsoft is Tentacles: enter the dolphin! First when I learned about it that Microsoft is making now video games for iPhone and iPad, I thought "seriously? what about supporting Windows Phone first?". However after researching a bit I have learned that this game was actually released first for Windows Phone by a Denmark-located small company "press play" and now re-made for iOS (universal) but published by Microsoft as visible above in a splash screen. Way back in episode 33, I talked about Microsoft Tag on the Convertcast in 2010. A lot has changed since then, and barcode scanning has become ubiquitous in both e-commerce and brick and mortar stores. What we have not seen more of, however, is Microsoft Tag. Microsoft is now making an attempt to bring it back by using it as the method of entry in a contest hosted by Newegg. I dutifully downloaded Tag to my iPhone, an app I hadn't got much use from, and didn't even have installed anymore. Is it worth installing just to enter a contest? Sure - why not?!
