Review – Energizer iSurge Travel Charging Station

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, charge, charging, Dock, Energizer, iPhone, ipod, outlets, plugs, review, USB    Posted date:  May 25, 2012  |  No comment

One of the things that constantly annoys me when I travel is the lack of outlets in hotel rooms, guest rooms, and barracks. Believe it or not, I carry 3 extension cords/surge protectors in the back of my car. But sometimes, they're just not enough. Sometimes you need something more...elegant. And that's where the Energizer iSurge Travel Charging Station comes in. It's lightweight and compact, easily fits in an overnight bag, and comes with all the bells and whistles. By bells and whistles, of course, I mean plugs and lights. Yes, the iSurge comes with a nightlight built in - extra awesome...

XPal Energi to Go – More power to you!

Posted by: Diana M. McDonough    Tags:  accessories, battery, charge, CTIA, power    Posted date:  May 14, 2012  |  No comment

Having been disappointed by the some of my other batteries’ lack of ability to hold a charge, I went looking for a new one which I hoped would perform better. The one I found was XPal Power’s Energi to Go 18,000mAh (yeah, 18,000!), which is licensed by Energizer. I put this battery to the test during CTIA, and I have to say it simply blew my socks off. This battery is pretty good sized at 7in x 4.5in x .75in, and it weighs about 2 pounds. But given the amount of power this thing packs, it isn’t bad at all. In theory, 18,000mAh is enough to charge the average smart phone 10 times. So,...

IDAPT offers charging stations that will power up multiple gadgets simultaneously. Keep your gadgets all in one place and use only one outlet. With connectors for all major brands, you get miniUSB, microUSB, Samsung4, Sony Ericsson2, iPod/iPhone, and Nokia2 all in the box. The connectors fit in the base so that you can power up everyone's cellphone at the same time, in the same place. I was given a review unit, so a full review will follow in a few days.

Sinjimoru Dock Stand

I love the idea of using a dock for my iPhone. Especially at night so I don't have to pick it up to see what's happening if a notification fires when I'm in bed. My only complaint with most docs is that they aren't made for skins or cases, and this one is no different. It is, however, much prettier than any other I've seen to date. Function - meet form! Available in a variety of colours, the Sinjimoru dock stand is a graceful curve that incorporates a sync/charge cable (included) into the design. You can place your iPhone or iPod onto the charger in a vertical viewing position, or lay your device...

RichardSolo 1800 Smart Backup Battery

One of the complaints I hear frequently about the iPhone is its lousy battery life. To be honest, the battery hasn’t seemed that bad coming from a Treo 800w and its miniscule battery. However, there are circumstances that will test the strongest battery, and I recently met with just such an event! Every year when school lets out, I go off with the AJROTC to north Alabama for a week or two. Cell coverage is lousy where we go, and Verizon is the only carrier that has any 3G coverage at all. To compound an already bad situation, the National Guard recently renovated the buildings we use,...
