Azeca AMZ02 Retractable Bluetooth Headset Review

Posted by: Diana M. McDonough    Tags:  accessories, Azeca, bluetooth, headset, retractable, review    Posted date:  July 5, 2012  |  No comment

In the world of technology, fancier is not necessarily better. That being said, little things can sometimes make big differences. When I go places, I tend to stick my phone in my pants pocket. This means that if I go someplace noisy, I’m likely to miss phone calls because I don’t hear my phone ring. Unfortunately, I don’t like wearing a Bluetooth headset constantly, either. The Azeca AMZ02 solves this problem for me in a unique way. This headset attaches to your collar, sleeve, or other clothes with a spring-loaded clip. The clip opens fairly wide, so it can attach to a fairly thick...

Plantronics BackBeat Go

Posted by: Diana M. McDonough    Tags:  accessories, bluetooth, earbuds, headphones, headset, Plantronics, review    Posted date:  June 24, 2012  |  No comment

Over the years, I've tried numerous Bluetooth headsets for making phone calls and listening to music. Of all those that I've tried, Plantronics devices have often made the list of my favorites. I first saw the BackBeat Go headset at CTIA, and was immediately interested in trying them. I've used other stereo Bluetooth headsets that had rigid plastic that went around the back of the neck.  I have a small head, though, so these always stuck out and ended up being annoying and uncomfortable, because I couldn’t lean my head back. Instead of being rigid, the BackBeat Go is made of a flexible,...

Jabra FREEWAY In-Car BlueTooth System Review

Posted by: Diana M. McDonough    Tags:  accessories, bluetooth, freeway, headphones, Jabra, review    Posted date:  June 23, 2012  |  No comment

Let’s face it, a Bluetooth device that won’t connect consistently is not very useful - especially when that device is in your car. With more and more states passing laws governing in-car cell phone usage, it is an even bigger issue. I’ve had my Toyota Camry with built-in Bluetooth for over 5 years now, and despite trying a larger number of devices, the connection problem has been the same – successful about 60% of the time. Thus I’ve come to the conclusion the problem is the car, not the phones. I got a Jabra FREEWAY, ostensibly for my husband, who is notorious for not using any kind...

DBEST LONDON – Sound Accessories

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, bluetooth, CTIA, DBEST, earbuds, headphones, sound, speakers    Posted date:  May 16, 2012  |  No comment

DBEST boasts the smallest bluetooth speaker in the world. I don't know if they're the smallest, but they are loud enough to be heard over the roar in the convention center during CTIA. And they're beautiful! Wired and wireless, DBEST has some amazing speakers and headphones. Here's Jeff Galant from SmartIT to show and tell more about DBEST. Jeff also had a piece of sculpture masquerading as a speaker. Or maybe it was a speaker masquerading as a sculpture. At any rate, the sound was awesome, and it had some great features. Here are some photos.

Targus Versavu Bluetooth Keyboard case for iPad 2/3rd Gen.

Posted by: Diana M. McDonough    Tags:  accessories, bluetooth, cases, iPad, keyboard    Posted date:  April 12, 2012  |  No comment

I purchased an inexpensive generic keyboard case for my original iPad. The design of the case was such that it could easily have been used with my new iPad, but I didn’t like the rubber keyboard, which frequently missed or duplicated my keystrokes. Thus, I decided to give that case to my husband with the old iPad - sounds evil, I know, but I'm a touch typist and my husband pounds away with only his index fingers. I opted to buy a different case for my new iPad. After looking around for quite a while, I chose the Targus Versavu Keyboard case (not to be confused with the Targus Versavu reviewed...

There have been many portable speakers developed over the years for our insatiable need for quality sound on the go, but very few have made the impact or started a social buzz quite like the Jawbone Jambox. From the first moment I caught a glimpse of this portable dynamo I wanted one! I have officially owned my Jambox since December of last year and have had extensive time to develop an opinion. If you're on the fence about the Jambox because of price or lack of information then read on and hopefully you will have your answer. Unboxing The good folks at Aliph did an amazing job with...

ZOMM – the World’s First Wireless Leash

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, bluetooth, cellphone, CTIA, protection    Posted date:  March 23, 2011  |  No comment

It's a pity this wasn't around a few months back when my daughter's iPhone was stolen. But what a clever gadget it is! Not only does it pair with any Bluetooth enabled phone, it acts as a hands-free speakerphone. Two products for the price of one. There's an app coming, first for Android, and then iPhone, which will give you even more options as to how to use your ZOMM. Priced between $79-$99, I'd say it's reasonable. And did I mention there's a model that's totally blinged out? Can you say "Swarovski crystals?" Woot! Take a look at the video, and let us know what you think.
