This weekend I happened to catch an episode of some Discovery Channel, or maybe it was a Science Channel program showcasing D3O being used in impact resistant vests for stuntmen. The segment began by showing the orange goop, and I recalled enjoying seeing it up close last spring at CTIA. It was quite the coincidence that the following day, I received a package in the mail from Tech21, with some of their latest goodies. I was anxious to see if the Impact Band for iPhone 5 could make me as happy as the Impact Mesh for iPhone 4/4S. Before I go any further, I must admit I'm not completely sold on bumper...

Imagine leaving home. You're going to be gone a few weeks, a few months, or perhaps this is a permanent move. Now imagine being able to continue reading your hometown paper, no matter where you are. PressReader offers you the full newspaper experience on your tablet (and across multiple platforms). PressReader provides access to over 2,200 full-content newspapers and magazines from 97 countries in 54 languages. While my current local paper is not included, I found the newspapers from the last 4 cities I lived in the US, and all those from out of the US. Do you enjoy reading newspapers...

So there I was in the C-Spire store looking at Android phones. <yawn> Then I remembered that they now carried the iPhone, so I sauntered over to see what accessories they had. I looked at a display of brightly colored cases, and assumed at first they were Otterbox cases. But the colors were...different. I moved closer and saw that they were Trident cases. Bright blue, red, pink, and more - and they were bright and attractive. I'd never seen cases quite like them before, and never heard of the brand.            I took a pink one from the display, and went to find out the cost. $35 sounded...

Back in the good ole days when I was a happy Palm os user, I had an account on Handango. I bought hundreds of quality apps from them. From Agendus to Pocket Tunes to Documents to Go - I plunked down my cash to support my growing habit. When it was evident that Palm was going the way of the dinosaur, I switched to Windows Mobile. And I gave Handango even more of my money. All the while, happy Blackberry users were doing likewise, and buying apps left and right, increasing the purchased apps database on Handango. Handango loved its customers, and loved the developers as well. How many of you remember...

So many people use their camera phones as their primary camera these days. Even Annie Leibovitz recently recommended her iPhone as a basic point and shoot during an interview with NBC's Brian Williams. It has always been said that the best camera is the one you have with you, and since almost everyone carries a mobile phone today, that almost makes it the best by default. Depending on your mobile phone, your camera can be "ok" or really great. They range all over the place, from 3 to 12 Megapixels, and some use the same lenses made for expensive SLR cameras. But regardless of the number of Megapixels...
