Just for Fun iPhone 5 Case Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, case, iPhone, iphone 5, review    Posted date:  May 16, 2013  |  No comment

Today we're looking at the Toonish Black Cat iPhone 5 case from EZ Buys Direct. EZ Buys Direct has loads of fun accessories for smartphones and tablets. I must admit, I like the Toonish Black Cat...because he looks like my black cat.   Notice the resemblance? Unfortunately, Jet is far more expensive, and far less protective than any case. It's also worth noting, you don't have to feed the Toonish Black Cat iPhone 5 case.   As you can see from the above photos, this case is made from a thick, durable soft gel silicon that will really cushion your phone. The fit is less...

Smarter Cases for Smarter Stuff – Case of the Week Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, app, case, iPad, iPhone, QR code    Posted date:  May 16, 2013  |  No comment

Are you findable? If your answer is not an immediate "yes," then you probably aren't. So what does that mean? I'm glad you asked!       Currently available for: · iPhone 5 · iPhone 4/4S · Galaxy S3 · iPad 3 · iPad Mini Findables are a unique case concept. As you can see from the photos above (iPad mini on the left, iPhone 5 on the right), these cases come with QR codes. When you get your case, you scan the code, either with the Findables app (available in iTunes), or with any QR scanner you already use. The Findables app doesn't do much more than that though. It would be nice...

Case of the Week Review – Trident Apollo 2-in-1 Snap-on Case for iPhone 5

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, Apple, case, iPhone, review, Trident    Posted date:  April 26, 2013  |  No comment

This week's offering from MobileFun.com is Trident's Apollo 2-in-1 Snap-on case for the iPhone 5. Having used Trident's Cyclops case on my iPhone 4S, I was anxious to check out the Apollo.   As you can see from the photo above, the colors are bright and really grab your attention. The backplate is interchangeable, so you can have a monochrome case, or a two-tone case. (This case comes in a variety of color combinations including Navy/Orange, Green/Blue, and Red/Black.) In addition to the case itself, you get a screen protector and cleaning cloth in the box. The back plate pops...

Case of the Week – Casemate Glam (review)

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, case, casemate, iOS, iPhone    Posted date:  April 20, 2013  |  No comment

I usually need at least a week to decide if I really like a case, but I fell in love with the Casemate Glam at first sight. But not for the reason you might think. Yes, it's sparkly. And what girl (or grown woman) doesn't like a little bling. As a matter of fact, I showed off this case to two girlfriends at dinner tonight, and they were both wowed. It is stunning - I can't deny it. But as I said, it wasn't the superficial that I fell in love with. When I pulled the Glam from the package, the back was facing away, and what I saw was the inside of the case. Spongey soft protection....

Speck FitFolio Case for iPad Mini – FreshBloom Coral – Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, cases, iPad, mini, mobilefun, review, Speck    Posted date:  April 13, 2013  |  No comment

I was recently contacted by Blake from MobileFun.com. MobileFun is an online retailer of everything mobile. Blake offered to send me one of their products for review, and we decided on a genuine Speck case for my iPad mini. MobileFun carries all my favorite brands, and has a wide selection of iPad Mini cases, which they ship worldwide. I like Speck cases. One of my two favorites for my iPhone 4s was a Speck. The FitFolio is typical of what you get from Speck. It's well made, easy to use, provides protection, and is amazingly attractive. This could be a wallet. The design is beautiful....

Tech21 Impact Snap Case with Cover for iPad Mini – Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, Apple, cases, D3O, Impactology, iPad, iPad mini, Tech21    Posted date:  February 10, 2013  |  No comment

I recently reviewed the Impact Band for iPhone 5 from Tech21, and was anxious to see what they had for the incredibly popular iPad Mini. They were kind enough to send me their Impact Snap Case with Cover for review.   This is a snap in shell type case made of a hard polycarbonate. Integrated in the shell are strips of D3O for impact resistance. Your iPad Mini is held tightly in the shell with no chance it will fall out. Of course, should you drop the whole case, the D3O should protect your iPad Mini. This is an elegant case that looks beautiful and feels great in your hands. Access...

Hypergrip iPhone 5 Case Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, cases, Hypergrip, iphone 5, Musubo, review    Posted date:  January 30, 2013  |  No comment

I have to be honest. When I opened the package with Musubo's Hypergrip case for the iPhone 5, the thing I liked most was the included tiny portable stand.     Call me a sucker, but how many times have you wished you had a stand for your iPhone, so you could watch a video, read something, or just keep an eye on the time from a convenient angle? When unfolded and flat, the stand is smaller than the size of your screen. You can actually buy stands like this, and they will frequently cost $10 or more. On to the case, without further gushing over the stand. Musubo, as you may recall from...

Tech21 Impact Band for iPhone 5 – Review

This weekend I happened to catch an episode of some Discovery Channel, or maybe it was a Science Channel program showcasing D3O being used in impact resistant vests for stuntmen. The segment began by showing the orange goop, and I recalled enjoying seeing it up close last spring at CTIA. It was quite the coincidence that the following day, I received a package in the mail from Tech21, with some of their latest goodies. I was anxious to see if the Impact Band for iPhone 5 could make me as happy as the Impact Mesh for iPhone 4/4S. Before I go any further, I must admit I'm not completely sold on bumper...

The Snugg Case for iPad Mini – Review

Posted by: Alli Flowers    Tags:  accessories, cases, iPad mini, review, Snugg    Posted date:  January 22, 2013  |  No comment

I'm going to plunge in with my favorite and least favorite feature of the Snugg case for iPad Mini. Then I'll get to the middle. I absolutely love the elastic strap on the back. Every tablet case should have this feature. You can put your hand through the strap and hold your tablet comfortably in portrait view. Slide your hand in a little further, and wrap your fingers over the edge to hold it in landscape. Either way, you'll have a firm grip on your iPad, and won't have to worry about how much of the bezel you're touching. I like the idea of a stylus holder on a case. Unfortunately,...
