Hi everyone,
just wanted to point you in a direction of a new video of the Pandora prototype, this time running its stock OS, Angstrom linux distro.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nis0OjKmGGY&eurl=http://openpandora.org/blog.php

Looks pretty impressive especially in the multitasking side, considering that its running desktop apps (GIMP, Firefox, Xmms) on a CPU very similar to the one on the upcoming Palm Pre phone. The boot time is pretty good too I counted 27 seconds.
I am still trying to get this device as soon as it comes out and will try to do a review if anyone is interested. Pandora seems like a very interesting device to me, potentially a replacement for my netbook that will be truly pocketable (unlike those lying Vaio P commercials)

Just Re-Pre-Ordered the thing. Hopefully this time everything will ship with no snags Smiley And btw, Chris, they are based in NewCastle ;-)

You'd have thought it would have been available long ago.

They got hit by economic downturn. All of the sudden it became impossible to get the parts on time (LCD screens in particular) and very tough to secure the bank  credit for production.
