Well as I understand it.

Plasma:
Pros: Deeper darker colors, better viewing angle.
Cons: Can burn images on screen if left for a while, does not perform well in lit up rooms.

LCD:
Pros:Longer screen life, good viewing in lit rooms.
Cons: Worse viewing angles, colors may not look as crisp.

Please correct me if I am wrong thanks.

Very good points but one must also look at motion blur and black levels which are superior on plasmas.

LCD Screens consume less power and heat up less which therefore makes them more power efficient.
