That would be even better if it were done like the old Palm game Arcade Reality. I'd love to shoot the virtual sniper in my living room!

iSniper Online, which comes up yesterday, is best iPhone game I have ever seen.
I downloaded it to my iTouch and take a try, woo..  , awesome. It 's designed as multi-player on-line game, you can play as a sniper,  shooting others just like iPhone game "iSniper" but with real people . I think it is a must try,

You can find it under game/action category, or use this url: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=320970822&mt=8.,
The support web site is http://www.thumbcountry.com/isniperonline/

sceenshot:

Have fun.

Hi all. Some of you on this and other forums have asked about ArianeSoft support to market your PPL-based games, components, other products, etc. Whether you’re buying or selling, the PPL Store is THE place on the Internet for your PPL 2.1, and even PPL 1.x, needs. The PPL Store hosts components, packages (i.e. bundles of components), code libraries, applications, games, and much more.

You can find the PPL Store at www.store.arianesoft.ca.

And of course, ArianeSoft’s PPL 2.0, their latest and greatest release, is available via their website at www.arianesoft.ca.

Any comments out there on visual versus the old tried and true manual coding?

PPL 2.0 provides for incredible development with nary a line of code typed. You can drag and drop objects or components into events. You can mouse over any function or component to get instant help. You can call methods or functions, you can assign values to properties, all with no coding. In Windows or Windows Mobile.

Any comments on this?

Hi All. I was talking with Alain Deschenes the other day. He’s the lead designer at ArianeSoft. He told me a few more things about their new release PPL 2.0, and I wondered if anyone out there had any comments?

Alain said one of their goals with this latest release was to make it as easy as possible to develop complex applications. So they included an instant help feature. Just hover your mouse over any item, and get instant help. The integrated help engine is very powerful and quick to access.

They also set out to make it easy to install downloaded components and packages in a snap. No confusing steps, just one click.

PPL 2.0’s new tag search engine lets you search for anything using your normal English phrases. For example, "display some text" will show you all functions, methods and properties that are related to displaying text.

Of course, once I got Alain talking about his baby, I couldn’t get him to stop. He quickly went into list mode:

- PPL comes fully loaded with a built in object oriented library, called Swirl, for writing 2D games in no time.

- The core graphics engine allows you to develop games on Windows and Windows Mobile using multiple screen resolutions.

- Support for jpg, bmp, gif, and png image file types is included.

- The sprites engine allows you to create amazing games like never before.

- The sound engine natively supports MP3, OGG, MOD and WAV file formats but there are also facilities for using FMOD, which is a solid, time tested audio library.

- Add new levels of interactivity to your games with the built in physic engine, and top it all off with some fancy special effects via the particle engine.

- Develop your games visually with the powerful level editor that comes built-in with the Game Edition.

- A powerful Find Wizard, that lets you search for anything, anywhere.

- Create project templates very easily, to re-use later or distribute with components.

PPL 2.0 is available via ArianeSoft’s website at www.arianesoft.ca.

Hi Everyone. We thought we should share some additional information on PPL 2.0’s new object-oriented methodology called PCL (PPL Control Library).

PCL delivers to developers a wide array of standard and custom controls. Developers can easily create new custom controls into component packages for easy distribution.

PPL also supports the use of 3rd party DLLs and ActiveX controls, providing lots of options for great user interfaces.

For business software developers, PPL 2.0 offers a great set of objects that encapsulate the embedded database, SQLite. We’re trying to make it as easy as possible for developers to focus on their end-users and applications, rather than mundane low-level coding.

PPL 2.0 remains available via the ArianeSoft website at www.arianesoft.ca.

Any comments or questions?

Further to other posts, ArianeSoft has now released PPL 2.0! It’s available now from their website at www.arianesoft.ca.

The list of new features, enhancements and breakthroughs in PPL 2.0 is far too extensive for this post, but here’s a partial list:

- A fully-visual programming environment, complete with a form layout editor, whether developing for Windows or Windows Mobile deployment

- A powerful code editor with built-in automatic code-completion and code-formatting, for those of you that prefer manual coding

- A fully object-oriented development environment, entirely components-based, including visual editing of object properties, and powerful object-oriented libraries

- New advanced real-time application analyzers including a code profiler, memory leak analyzer and line-by-line debugging tool

- A new object-oriented, 2D game library, called Swirl, that includes sprites, particles, Fx, sound, music, isometric display, and many others

- A new visual game-level editor with the PPL 2.0 Game Edition

- Full cross-platform SQL database support via the new Orion database library

- A new tag search engine; if you don't remember the name of a function, property or method, simply type words that might be related to what the item does and PPL 2.0 will return a list of all matches.

- Auto-update of all programs and installed components in one click

Any comments?
