It’s summer now so many people are traveling, and while traveling some nice landscapes can be observed. But sometimes using regular camera apps is not enough, as such apps don’t reproduce the impression that you have while visiting these places. However, if you take a panoramic photo of the place, it gives a much better impression of what this place is actually like.

Here I am reviewing Panorama™ (Panorama with “TM” = trademark in name). This is one of many many panorama apps, but according to some blog editors, it is the best panorama app out there. It’s not free ($0.99) but it seems to be good although with some limitations (see below).

So, to start taking panorama photos with this app you should tap the photo button and move the phone to the right (to the left: not working! not configurable).

A text “taking panorama photo” appears and you see frames of photos taken at the bottom.

After panorama photos are taken you can do stuff with them!

Like sharing, copying to camera roll, editing and deleting.

Interestingly this camera has several nice effects/filters.

One can even apply this filter in preview while taking the photos!

Note: there is a limitation on how many photos one can take. I had a situation where I could not cover the whole landscape because it was spanning more than 180 degrees. Of course, one can use PhotoSynth app for Microsoft too but PhotoSynth photos are on Microsoft servers only and one needs to use web browser with Microsoft plugins to view them. Photos taken with this Panorama app can be used everywhere.

Conclusion

This is super cheap ($0.99) for what it can do and if you are going on holiday or traveling internationally and you are in awe due to landscapes that you see, use this app to take photos of these landscapes! Sometimes regular photos, no matter how many pixels, are not enough to reproduce impression of some beautiful landscapes.
