About the Author

Michael Turback was trained as a restaurateur at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He opened his first restaurant, Turback’s of Ithaca, at age 22. Michael’s achievements have been recognized by many major national daily newspapers, the Food Channel and leading food magazines. “Bon Appetit” hailed Turback’s as “…the best restaurant in New York State,” and “Restaurant Business” magazine awarded Turback’s with the “Best American Wine List.” Michael has written seven cookbooks, including “Ithaca Farmers Market Cookbook” and “Greetings from the Finger Lakes.”
