This app is not for everybody, it’s mainly for project managers in software development or eventually for developers, analysts and stake holders involved in software development projects. Of course, theoretically, the same methodology could be used in development of other non-software products, but in reality it’s used mainly for software.
Nowadays a lot of software development takes place in the world, whereby a lot of its custom software is used only in specific enterprises and corporations, not standard software used by thousands of users. Since very often customers cannot properly convey what they need, methodology like Scrum software development makes it possible to take into account that requirements may change often and customers sometimes don’t know what they really exactly want. Scrum technique is part of agile software software development methodology. To resolve problems, scrum uses very frequent software releases, daily scrum meetings with plans of what is to do in “sprints,” review meetings etc. It is not a place to introduce whole scrum methodology here, but suffice it to say it’s used widely nowadays in companies and corporations all over the world and it’s a fashionable way these days to manage chaos in software development process.
This app uses metaphor of cork board, on which tickets with tasks are being placed:

You can set the color and duration of each ticket.

Then you can assign tickets to different phases.

There is diagram that shows progress.

You complete a given sprint (in scrum sense) by setting all tickets to “done” phase or by pressing Complete button in the toolbar.

This app also makes it possible to send emails with scrums/sprints and to save them centrally to Dropbox.
Improvement suggestions:
* saving cork boards in form of .PDF and sending them by email and saving to Dropbox
* some multi-user cooperation, possibly by using several interconnected iPads either locally or via Internet
Conclusion: if you are using agile software in general and scrum in particular, this app can be helpful to you. It’s not cheap but it’s typical in case of specialized apps.
