There are many choices when it comes to choosing a case for your shiny new iPad 2. As many choices as are out there, only a few really stand out. In my opinion one of these that shouldn’t be overlooked is the Geminus Genius Case for the iPad 2. After using this case for over a month and putting it to the true test in the office and out in the field, here are my thoughts on why this case stands out in the crowd over the many competitors that are out there.
Upon opening the Geminus Genius Case I knew it had a lot of potential. Features are the ticket these days and the Geminus Genius Case is stacked full of useful features. The case itself comes in two versions: one being a faux leather and the other a real leather case. Geminus even packages this beauty in shiny gold box complete with tissue paper so if you are looking for the perfect gift, look no further! The leather case I received was a perfect fit for my iPad 2. This is a very attractive case for the business professional and although I work in a semi-professional environment many of my co-workers who also own iPads, commented about my case, inquiring where it come from.
The true test of this case though is in the functionality. With a multitude of slots for credit cards, cash, misc. papers, drivers license and a handy post-it note holder, you will always have everything you need right at your fingertips no matter where you go. The good folks at Geminus even included a pen holder complete with an executive style pen! How’s that for all inclusive? I like to use my stylus pen for the iPad 2 so I use the pen holder for that sometimes as well. It’s nice to know that my case can hold everything I need to be productive. In the spine of the case there are also two elastic bands that can hold your sync cable, headphones, or whatever else you may deem necessary to take along for your daily routine. These are the types of features that make the Geminus Genius Case a “road warrior” for the business savvy professional.
The case itself also comes complete with cutouts for all the new features of the iPad 2 including the rear and front facing cameras. So anything that you can do with your iPad 2 out of the case, you can do in the case as well. When opening your Geminus Genius Case you find two snaps: one that holds the two halves of the case in place, and the other is the adjustable kickstand that sets your viewing angle while setting at a desk or a table.
This comes in very handy when giving presentations or using your iPad 2 with an optional bluetooth keyboard. Even though most of us will use this case in this manner you can also hold the case vertically -just like you would a book. If you’re an avid ebook reader you won’t miss a beat with this case either. Geminus also included a cleaning cloth so you’ll never have to worry about fingerprints getting in the way.
Geminus has pretty much thought of everything, so you don’t have to. In the end the bottom line for me is the functionality. With the Geminus Genius Case I believe you get a business style look and functionality combined into one classy unit. I have used this case from day one and for $35 for the faux leather or $55 for the real leather you’re getting a price point that is very hard to beat. Considering what you pay for the Apple Smart Cover, which offers minimal protection, you get complete protection with maximum functionality. So what are you waiting for? Make your iPad 2 investment complete and get yourself a Geminus Genius Case and make your iPad 2 standout in the crowd!
