If you are an iPhone developer and you’re interested in having your app reviewed, send a promo code to edward@justanothergeeksite.com and we might review your app. Here we are reviewing an app for which we received a promo code and that we find rather interesting. At first glance this app looks exactly like the old iPod and we are amazed that Apple even approved it:

So what does this app do? Well, you can record your “voice cards” each consisting of a question and answer… and then you can play them in various ways.

The selection of voice card sets was not very easy to find: you have to swipe downwards the arrow at the top of the screen and then you have to tap on the icon on the left side of “>”:

The good thing is that you can actually manage your voice cards and add/remove questions at will – something that would not be possible if you would record it all as one continuous audio file:

The screen for recording is easy to use and you can give textual description/title to each question/answer pair:

There are also other functions like shuffle, autplay, touchpad (for easy control via swiping) and shake (shake to play next question):

Conclusion: if you need to prepare for an exam and you need a way to study with closed eyes, then this app might be helpful. Voice prompts for oral exams are also practical. Of course you can’t put in words exams that have some drawings or imagery, but other than that this app might be useful for rehearsing or learning.
