And why? Because some [expletive deleted] stole my phone!
(No, not mine…my daughter’s.)
How does this affect life as we know it today?
1. Basic phone calls
2. Text messages
3. Contacts
4. Calendar
5. E-mail
But who thinks about things like an alarm clock or gps, passwords! Where do you go to check the weather without your phone?
Can a computer replace a cell phone?
What should you do to prevent your phone from being stolen in the first place?
1. Lock code!
2. MoMe or iHound
3. Don’t put the sucker down: beware of pickpockets (basic advice for women who carry bags on their arm/shoulder – zip that bag closed!)
What steps do you take in the event of a theft?
1. Call carrier – disable account until you can get a new sim
2. Change all passwords for apps used on the stolen device (email, Twitter, instant messaging, Facebook, etc.)
Have a backup plan…or at least a backup phone. Don’t wait – buy something cheap on ebay today.
