This morning we had the pleasure of having Eric Lin from HTC as a guest on the msmobiles podcast. Eric was battered by questions from our panel, and answered most of them. Following is a list of the questions he was asked:

Everyone wants a 3.5mm headset jack on their phones, why do HTC keep using the EXT USB connector?
Will HTC adopt the universal charger ie microUSB?
How much of a game changer has The Touch Diamond been for HTC?
Where are the best areas for sales of the company?
Video playback performance of HTC devices has always been poor compared with other manufacturers, eg the Touch Pro compared with the SE X1, why is that?
There have been a whole bunch of youtube video tutorials on HTC video out. What is the resolution of the VGA out on the HTC Touch Pro/Touch Pro 2/Touch HD? (HD?) Will we be seeing more VGA out on other devices in the future?
Do HTC have any plans to start TV advertising their devices, Windows Mobile needs to get more exposure?
How does HTC compete with the rest of the smartphone market?
Do HTC sell more phones for example in the UK sim free or through the network providers?
Are HTC really excited by Windows Mobile 6.5 or disappointed like the rest of us. How will you handle upgrades once 7 is released?

When can we expect to see the new models (Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2) in the US, and on what carriers?
What will replace the HD and come to the US?

Are you going to be at CTIA?
